As a dedicated educator with three years of experience teaching both primary and upper elementary grades, specifically first grade and fifth grade, I am passionate about supporting students academically and emotionally while fostering a strong sense of community in the classroom.

 

My experience has given me a unique understanding of the developmental range across elementary grades. In both my first and fifth grade classrooms, I have prioritized literacy instruction as a cornerstone of academic success. I am passionate about identifying and bridging gaps in reading proficiency to ensure all students can access grade-level content with confidence. I believe literacy is not only a fundamental skill but a gateway to empowerment and lifelong learning. By actively differentiating instruction and using responsive teaching practices, my students are able to access information at the level best suited for their needs. 

In addition, I place a strong emphasis on effective behavior management to maximize instructional time and create a structured, supportive learning environment. I implement clear expectations, consistent routines, and positive reinforcement strategies to ensure all students can thrive.

 

Beyond instruction, I am deeply committed to building lasting relationships with my students and their families. I believe in cultivating a classroom culture grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. My goal is to create a learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported—both academically and as a person.
