Classroom Environment

I aim to design my classroom in a way that is accessible to students. Staying organized, incorporating visual

supports, and labeling everything helps me make this possible.

Decodable books and updated Literacy Centers in clearly labeled baskets that students can grab when needed.

Students are each assigned a number. This correlates to their cubbie, chromebook slot, spot in line, etc. This helps both me and them to stay organized!

Students have access to the calming corner if they are needing a separate space to regulate.

We always start our mornings with affirmations and an emotion check in before diving into learning! I love incorporating social emotional learning alongside academics.

Posting Learning Intentions and Success Criteria helps students to know their purpose in learning.

I keep this chart updated with standards that we are working on.
